Gary was born and raised in the small town of Linn, Kansas. Gary attended K State from 1972 – 1978 (2 years of undergrad and then 4 years of vet school). After graduation Gary worked in Kansas City for 3 months and then started El Paso Animal Clinic in December 1978.
Gary married his wife Debbie in May 1977. They have two daughters, Jessie and Jenny, and three grandchildren. Their oldest daughter lives in Saudi Arabia with her husband and daughter, the other lives in Manhattan, KS with her husband and two boys. Gary's youngest daughter, Jenny, is a veterinarian as well as his brother-in-law and brother, so it's a vet family. Gary's hobbies include riding bikes, running, traveling, and says he is "a lousy golfer but enjoys playing".
Jeff grew up in Garden City, Kansas, and went directly to Kansas State University. After receiving his undergraduate degree in Animal Science he went to KSU College of Veterinary Medicine where he graduated in 1988. He started working at El Paso Animal Clinic with Dr. Oehmke directly out of college and later became a partner in the practice. Jeff married his wife Becki in 2003 and they have three daughters - Elliot, Emersyn & Edisyn and one son - Carter. Jeff spent many years raising, breeding, and competing German Shorthaired Pointers but now spends most of his time raising kids.
Erica grew up in Derby and graduated from Derby H.S. in 1994. She worked at El Paso Animal Clinic during college as a technician. After receiving her Veterinarian degree in 2002, she worked as a veterinarian in Las Vegas and Memphis, TN before moving back to Kansas in 2006. She has worked as a veterinarian at El Paso Animal Clinic since October, 2006.
Mike grew up in Wichita, Kansas, and graduated from Kapaun Mount Carmel H.S. in 2004. During high school he worked at Petsmart taking care of all the fish, birds, reptiles, and everything in between. After high school he spent three years at K-State where he received his undergraduate degree in Biology. He proceeded to the KSU College of Veterinary Medicine where he graduated from in 2010. Mike married his high school sweetheart Holly in 2009 and they have a son, Leo, and a daughter, Lily. Mike grew up with many stray or rescue animals in his household, but particularly loves German Shepherds and corgis. In his free time, he enjoys biking, technology, and spending time with family.
